The Administration, Operations, and Budget Committee:

• Received a presentation from County Administrator David Hough on the proposed 2025 Hennepin County budget of $2.95 billion, including a $1 billion property tax levy. $2.49 billion of this is the operating budget and $463 million is the capital budget.
• Postponed a vote on the 2025 proposed employee health plan and premium rates for health care.
• Approved a lease for additional temporary housing for families. The lease is for approximately $6 million to Hospitality Globe, Inc. in Brooklyn Park. County Administrator David Hough and commissioners noted that this is an effort toward Hennepin County’s effort that “no child sleeps outside.”
• Postponed a vote on a resolution supporting transition planning for Hennepin Healthcare (formerly known as HCMC).
